'ZaneAMania' benefits boy's family

A benefit is scheduled Sunday to defray the expenses of the family of Zane Newsom, who died March 10 from injuries suffered in a four-wheeler accident.
“ZaneAMania,” takes place from noon to 8 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Paris.
The event features a barbecue dinner and live music by Post Oak Savannah, Level Route, Michael ONeal Band, Wade White and The Plain Label Band, BackShift and Ryan Booth.
Other activities include silent and live auctions as well as a raffle for a Remington Model 715 bolt action synthetic stock .243 or .270.
Children's activities include three bounce houses, a dunking booth, roping event and cake walk, plus a live karate demonstration.
General admission tickets to “ZaneAMania” are $5 or $10 with dinner.
Tickets are available at Newsom’s Cabinets and Millwork, Newsom’s Photography, Huff Stringfellow and Co., Discount Tire City, Suddenlink and Thompson’s Fast Lane in Honey Grove.
Also available, are “ZaneAMania” T-shirts at each ticket location. Cost is $10.
Newsom, 14, was a freshman at Roxton High School and a member of the FFA. He was active in baseball and rodeo, including The Cowboy Church and its Ranch Rodeo Team.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Amy Newsom, as well as two brothers, Lane and Dillon.
