One young teen has a chance to appear in a Hannah Montana movie starring Miley Cyrus.
An opening casting call for “Hannah Montana: The Movie” is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Red River County Chamber of Commerce in Clarksville.
The film is based on the wildly popular Disney television series, “Hannah Montana.”
In the series, Cyrus plays a high school student, Miley Stewart, who moves from Tennessee to California and lives a secret double life as a pop star.
Her real life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, also plays her father on the show.
The film, “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” will center around the Stewart family’s return to Tennessee.
Casting director Shari Rhodes, formerly of Paris, is looking for a 15-17 year old boy to play Miley’s first crush and love interest, Travis.
Travis is a genuine southern cowboy hunk working as a farmhand for the summer.
Actors who try out must not be older than 17 and can not turn 18 until or after Aug. 15, 2008.
Filming will begin in early May and is to take place in Los Angeles, Calif., and Columbia, Tenn.
Anyone who attends the casting call must provide identification (driver's license or birth certificate) and a photo that will not be returned.
