Banquet a chance to show support for Chamber

Our Lamar County Chamber of Commerce has had a banner year, and Tuesday night its achievements will be celebrated at the annual chamber banquet.
As always, it will be a catered event, with good food, and a speech by longtime chamber member Art Roberts.
Roberts, senior vice president for the Texas Association of Business, is a talented speaker and most likely will bring an inspiring and interesting message.
A highlight of the banquet will be the recognition of people through awards presentations.
There will be a silent auction and drawings for prizes.
But one of the most important messages likely will come at the end of the banquet.
That message will detail future events and future expectations of the chamber.
Events begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Love Civic Center.
Tickets are on sale for $25 each, a bargain for those who have an interest in the business community of Paris and Lamar County.
Those who want to attend must hurry. Reservations have to be made by 5 p.m. today at the chamber offices. Those who want more information can call 903-784-2501.
The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is a vital part of the growth of this area, and whether a member or not, everyone who has a chance to attend the banquet should.
