Driver rams two vehicles

Published November 2, 2009

A Halloween night series of car crashes brought a trip to the county jail for one Paris woman.

Paris Police said the woman, Juana Ibarra, 34, apparently intentionally hit two other vehicles.

She was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into jail shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday.

A Paris police officer was parked in the 200 block of Lamar Avenue, when he heard several loud crashes.

As the officer began to look, he heard two more, and then found three vehicles in the roadway in the 200 block of Kaufman Street.

After a brief investigation, the officer determined a gray Suburban driven by Ibarra had apparently intentionally hit two vehicles parked there.

Both of the vehicles were occupied at the time of the collisions.

One of the vehicles was occupied when they were struck, one having two persons inside.

Ibarra was placed under arrest and transported to Paris Police Department for booking.

Once there, officers said she refused to sign all required paperwork and was placed into a jail cell.
